Alien Heroes
HOW THE ADVANTAGE WORKS:
- Alien Heroes is a unique game where all of the symbols are scatters, meaning that there are no paylines. Wins are awarded by landing at least five of the same symbol anywhere on the reels. Landing eight of the same symbol will trigger the free games feature. During the base game, stars randomly land on top of the symbols and move over into one of three containers located to the right of the reels. Collecting three stars in a container will activate a hero feature on the next spin, giving the player a better chance of landing the eight symbols needed to trigger the free games.
- All three of the containers located to the right of the reels (kung fu, ninja and cowboy) have two stars collected in each. Stop playing after you trigger one.
- Any active hero features—look for an alien with flames on it on top of a container.
Additional notes
- It’s nearly impossible to get a winning spin during the base game, so it feels like you are playing a machine with a 0% return. The wins from landing five or six of the same symbol are less than the cost of the bet, even for the premium symbols. Landing seven of the same symbol barely pays anything either, and it is rare to even get that. Nearly all of the game’s return comes from the free games feature, which is hyper volatile.
- The free games is a hold & spin feature where you try to collect 15 of the same symbol. You start with four free games and can randomly land +1 free game symbols. The spins remaining does not reset every time you land a symbol, so it’s not like the traditional hold & spin features that you are used to. The more symbols you land, the greater the payout on each spin. If you fill the screen by collecting 15 symbols, a special multiplier feature will be activated where the win on that spin will be multiplied by 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 7x, 8x, 9x, 10x or 100x. The multiplier feature can lead to absolutely massive bonuses, especially if you get it with extra spins remaining.
- The free games feature can be difficult to trigger, even when you collect the three stars needed to activate one of the hero features that gives you a better chance at landing the bonus. But if you play with two stars collected in each container, it usually won’t take long to trigger one of the features. Just expect to take many small losses on this game, with the occasional huge win.
- Collecting three stars in a container does not guarantee that you will hit the free games feature. It just gives you a better chance.
- The kung fu hero feature will merge the four positions in the upper left into a single 2x2 reel and the four positions in the bottom right into a single 2x2 reel. Landing the same symbol in both of the big reels will guarantee you hit the free games feature.
- The ninja hero feature will randomly select a symbol and make it appear in six positions. Landing at least two more of that symbol will trigger the free games feature.
- The cowboy hero feature locks the symbol with the most occurrences and the other reels all re-spin, giving you a greater chance of getting eight symbols to trigger the free games feature.
- Only one star symbol may land per spin, so it’s not possible to trigger multiple hero features at once.
- The glowing meters above the reels just show how many of each symbol landed on the previous spin. The number represents the credit prize you win for collecting that amount of the same symbol. The meter resets every spin, so there is no advantage to it.
