Aztec Banner / Pegasus Banner
HOW THE ADVANTAGE WORKS:
- Aztec Banner and its companion game, Pegasus Banner, each feature four card symbols — spade, heart, diamond, and club — displayed above the reels. When a 2-high banner card symbol lands fully on the reels, it activates its matching card symbol above for the next seven spins. During this time, any activated symbol that lands on the reels below transforms into a sliding banner, which opens at the end of the spin to reveal a random matching symbol. If all four card symbols are active at once, every one that lands below changes into the same symbol, creating the potential for some truly massive line hits!
- Play when any three card symbols above the reels are active — you’ll see a small meter below each card symbol showing how many spins remain for that activation.
- If you prefer a more aggressive approach, you can also play when two card symbols are active, as long as both have five or more spins remaining. It’s a higher-variance setup, but the times you activate a third card symbol can easily make up for the smaller losses in between.
Additional notes
- This is generally a low-cost play, and while you’ll lose money most of the time, the occasional huge line hit with premium symbols can easily make up for it.
- Keep in mind, this isn’t an all-ways-pay game — you still need to form line hits to win.
- A full screen of sliding banners can pay up to 240x if it reveals the premium symbol. While that’s rare, it’s possible to land 100x line hits with the right setup.
- If a 2-high banner symbol lands for a card that’s already active, it will reset that card’s spin counter back to seven.
- You can check the bet pad to see how many card symbols are currently active — it’s worth taking a look any time you notice two active symbols.
- Finally, this game is often available in multiple denominations, so be sure to check them all for potential plays.
