Blazin’ Diamond / Lightning Wilds
HOW THE ADVANTAGE WORKS:
- In Blazin’ Diamond and its companion game, Lightning Wilds, landing a Pay Upgrade symbol on the third reel triggers a special 3-spin mode. During these next three spins, all seven and BAR wins pay 2x, giving you a short window for some boosted payouts!
- When the Pay Upgrade feature is active and there are spins remaining, you’ll see a bright “Pay Upgrade Active” banner appear in the middle of the screen above the pay table, along with the number of spins left displayed underneath. You’ll also notice the game kick into upbeat music when you switch to a bet level where the feature is active — a clear sign it’s time to take advantage of those boosted pays!
Additional notes
- This is a hidden gem that most advantage players overlook, making it a great under-the-radar game. I almost always find playable setups on it. It’s fairly common in casinos and often tucked away with mechanical reel slots, areas most APs rarely check.
- Since nearly all line hits (except for landing three wilds) involve sevens and BARs, the 2x multiplier during the Pay Upgrade mode gives you a strong advantage. Line hits are frequent, and because you always know exactly how many spins remain, this is a low-volatility game with steady, predictable action.
- The progressive jackpots are only available at max bet, similar to Crystal Star, so chasing them could be worthwhile—but only if you have a large bankroll, as it’s unclear how high the numbers must rise before the play becomes +EV.
- This game likely has a higher RTP since the lowest denomination offered is 5¢, and it’s also common to find it in 25¢, $1, and $2 versions. Casinos often increase RTP on higher-denomination machines, so it’s worth checking those levels for better value.
- To find potential plays, tap the red button at the bottom center of the screen to review all available denominations and spot active setups.
