Rising Phoenix
HOW THE ADVANTAGE WORKS:
- Rising Phoenix features a wheel above the reels that contains multipliers. When a phoenix lands on a reel, that entire reel will turn wild. The phoenix will then move up and fill one of the four spots in the flame meter located inside the wheel. When the fourth spot in the flame meter gets filled and a line hit occurs on that spin, the wheel will spin and one of the multipliers will get applied to that line hit. If no line hit occurs, then up to three multipliers on the wheel will increase in value by 1x. After the flame meter is filled, it will clear out, regardless of whether a line hit occurred.
- You can look directly on the bet pad to see the flames collected for each bet level.
- Three flames: 24x total multipliers (or any two wedges on fire).
- Two flames: 36x total multipliers.
- One flame: 48x total multipliers.
- Always: 60x total multipliers.
Additional notes
- This game can be fairly volatile, even with a lot of multipliers built up. Most of your line hits will be three-of-a-kind, which don’t pay very well, even with big multipliers applied. To get a good payout, you really need five-of-a-kind, which can be difficult to get. That said, it’s possible to get massive payouts when things work out (I’ve seen people get handpays on $4 bets).
- Having smaller multipliers spread out across more wedges is lower variance compared to having large multipliers concentrated in a few wedges.
- Landing the All Up Re-Spin wedge on the wheel will increase the multipliers on all of the wedges by 1x. The wheel will then spin again. The All Up Re-Spin cannot be triggered twice in a row.
- The multiplier wedges get flames on them when they reach 5x. The highest value they can reach is 20x, but this is rare.
- After a multiplier wedge gets triggered, it resets back to 2x.
- It’s possible to land multiple phoenix symbols at once—your biggest hits will usually be when this occurs.
- The multipliers on the wedges carry over into the free games feature. During the feature, all feather symbols get replaced with phoenix symbols, so the wheel triggers more frequently.
- The third free games scatter symbol will either display Major Free Games or Grand Free Games. During the feature, the major or grand jackpot will replace the All Up Re-Spin wedge.
- The Major and Grand jackpots can also be won during the base game by landing three corresponding scatter symbols.
- Most APs just look at the bet pad and only play with three flames without considering the multipliers on the wedges. Therefore, it’s common to find plays with two, one or zero flames that others have passed over.
