LUCKY EMPRESS / INCA EMPRESS
HOW THE ADVANTAGE WORKS
WHEN TO PLAY
- Lucky Empress and its sister game, Inca Empress, feature persistent multipliers that stick to the left side of the rows. The multipliers first appear as tiles (diamond-shaped on Lucky Empress and circular on Inca Empress) with question marks on them. The tiles first land on the reels and then move onto the tile placeholders to the left.
- Once three tiles are collected, the question marks reveal multipliers that are either 2x, 3x, 5x, 8x, 10x or 12x. The bottom multiplier then moves onto the reel and becomes active. It will say “10X NEXT PAY” directly on the left side of the row when a 10x multiplier is active.
- The multiplier will stay active until a line hit beginning with that row triggers it causing it to disappear. Then the next multiplier behind it will move onto the reel and become activated. If more tiles are collected on that row while a multiplier is already active, it will add the new multiplier to the upcoming queue (with the multiplier already revealed rather than a question mark).
- If all of this sounds confusing, just reference the photos below.
WHEN TO PLAY
- Any active 10x or 12x multipliers.
- Any combination of active multipliers that is 10x or higher. For example, two 5x multipliers or an 8x and 3x multiplier.
- If there are 10x or 12x multipliers in the upcoming queue, then you can play any 5x or 8x multipliers in front to get to them.
Additional notes
- This game is highly volatile and can be very frustrating since you will lose money most of the time you play it. Line hits can be pathetic (often $0.10), so even with a 10x multiplier you might only win $1. That said, you will sometimes get $100+ wins to make up for your losses.
- The multipliers in this game come up frequently, so don’t get tricked into perpetually chasing them.
- It’s not worth chasing the question mark tiles—they might just end up being 2x or 3x multipliers which are mostly worthless.
- The free games bonus comes up fairly frequently, but like the rest of this game, it is usually feast or famine.
- The Inca Empress version doesn’t have progressive jackpots like Lucky Empress. Therefore, the line hits might pay better in Inca Empress, but I don’t think it makes enough of a difference to change the basic strategy.
- Many APs skip over this game entirely, but I believe it is a solid play if you follow the rules above. Just accept that you will lose money frequently on it, but you will make up for it with the occasional huge win.
- The Lucky Empress RTP ranges from 85% to 94%, while the Inca Empress RTP ranges from 85% to 96%.
An active 10x and 12x multiplier is an excellent play. The upcoming 2x multiplier on the middle row is not worth playing after the 12x is gone.
