TREASURE
HOW THE ADVANTAGE WORKS (Panda’s Treasure / Pirate’s Treasure)
The background behind the reels needs to be black (not green or blue) combined with any of the following:
- Panda’s Treasure and its companion Pirate’s Treasure feature treasure chests above each reel. The treasure chests contain credit values and come in stacks of one, two or three. When a rocket symbol (in Panda’s Treasure) or cannon symbol (in Pirate’s Treasure) lands in a reel, the reel will expand in height by one symbol. Every time a reel expands, it pushes up the treasure chests above. When a treasure chest reaches the key above the reel, the player wins the prize in that treasure chest. There are also persistent wilds, which come from the panda and pirate symbols.
The game will retain its current state (treasure chest prizes, expanded reels and persistent wilds) for one more spin whenever another rocket/cannon or panda/pirate symbol lands. The background behind the reels will be black when the current game state will continue on the next spin. If the background is green (in Panda’s Treasure) or blue (in Pirate’s Treasure), the game will reset on the next spin with a new random set of treasure chests.
The background behind the reels needs to be black (not green or blue) combined with any of the following:
- One wild or panda/pirate symbol in the first three reels.
- One wild or panda/pirate symbol in both reels four and five.
- Ways is over 400 (this is displayed to the left and right of the reels).
- Any treasure chest is one space away from a key.
Additional notes
- Many APs skip over this game because it appears to be an AP trap on first glance. Chasing after the treasure chests seems futile because the game resets at the beginning of every spin (the treasure chests only stay if a rocket/cannon or panda/pirate symbol landed on the previous spin). And even if you figure out what makes the treasure chests stay, you will quickly realize it is extremely difficult to win the credit prizes. So it’s easy to write off this game and give up on it.
- The real value comes from the persistent wilds, not the treasure chests. The line hits on this game can be absolutely massive once you build up a handful of wilds spanning multiple reels. Once you get a streak going, it’s possible to get consecutive spins of gigantic line hits. As the reels get taller, the ways to win increases and you have more chances to land additional rocket/cannon and panda/pirate symbols to keep the streak going.
- This is an all-ways-pay game, so you don’t need to worry about having the symbols line up. Therefore, it is easy to get big line hits when the persistent wilds span across multiple reels.
- Plays usually only require an investment of a few spins, so losses will be minimal.
- It’s common to find plays on this game—the background turns black very frequently.
- The treasure chests can sometimes include the jackpots and other large credit prizes, but they are difficult to trigger.
- You only win the individual treasure chest that touches the key above—not the entire stack of treasure chests.
- The reels don’t shrink back down after you trigger the treasure chests.
- Sometimes a stack of three treasure chests will appear above a reel. In that case, only a single rocket/cannon symbol is needed to trigger one of the chests.
- The ways begins at 243 and can go all the way up to 7776.
- The rocket/cannon symbols disappear after every spin—only the wilds stay (when the background is black). And the wild symbols don’t block the rocket/cannon symbols or free games scatter symbols—those symbols can land on top of the wilds, appearing as a sub-symbol in the bottom corner.
- Remember to never play if the background behind the reels is green or blue—everything will get reset on the next spin. So even if you see a giant stack of treasure chests with large credit values, it will reset on the next spin if the background isn’t black.
- The game contains six bet levels and multiple denominations, so there are a lot of opportunities to check for plays. You don’t need to put money in to check the machine.
The panda symbol on the left and pirate symbol on the right will turn into wild symbols on the next spin. All of the other wild symbols will stay as well. Notice that the background behind the reels is black.
